Artistic! That is one word that will come into our mind when seeing this house. The Humblebaek house by norm architects has the word artistic as its middle name. This can be blatantly seen on the features that this house has. This house is actually not a new building; maybe one reason that makes the house looks very artistic. The old house is purposed for working artist, that’s why we will find very high artistically things inside the house. Getting inside the living room, you will find simple and minimalist design with only one long elegant black sofa and one simple attractive white chair.
The table which is chose is also artistic since it’s like a rough, wide chunk slice of giant wood. The flooring is dark marble which attracts our eyes when seeing the inner perimeter of the house. Right beside the living area, we will find the same minimalist kitchen with only simple white cabinetry sits there. The designer left some old parts of the house in order to preserve the historical value of the house. Right next to the very minimalist kitchen, there sits the dining table which is a rough pattered wooden table and a set of the same rough patterned wooden chair completed with black, elegant and ball-like lighting fixtures above it.
Open floor plan is one thing that the designer tried to apply in this house and it surely worked well. Those three rooms above, are in one big space and it forms a great proportion of design. You will also find the rough, old brick wall which is not altered at all by the designer and it creates such an eclectic feeling/ good combination of modern and old styles in one big space.
